Kent Bhupathi is a senior economic consultant (non-attorney) in the Dallas office of Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors. In this role, he brings economic, statistical, and data science expertise to the firm’s diverse client matter and foundation projects.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Bhupathi led IPG Health's machine learning division as SVP of Data Sciences and Engineering at Solve(D). In that position, he led a team that created innovative data science products tailored to client needs. The products included advanced solutions for revenue and sales forecasting, investment allocation, geotargeting, market segmentation and persona development, as well as strategic business planning.
Mr. Bhupathi co-founded Market Theory AI, a data science and media strategy firm, where he served as chief researcher. He designed custom econometric models to address business challenges such as ROI modeling, forecasting, and market sizing. He assembled a business intelligence and data engineering hub in Hyderabad, India, which complemented the firm’s stateside operations.
Mr. Bhupathi is a member of the adjunct faculty at New York University. He is involved in course development and teaches Introduction to Data Science using R/Python, Applied Statistics, and a master's level course in Quantitative Business Methods focused on machine learning.
Mr. Bhupathi frequently guest lectures at conferences and universities across the country, on topics including recession modeling, building a data sciences practice, incorporating and fine-tuning GenAI, and advanced statistical methods.
