Brewer Law Firm Seeks Investigator

Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors seeks candidates for its in-house Investigative Unit in its Dallas office. The Unit provides the firm with comprehensive research and analysis. Our investigators are trained in fact-finding techniques as well as human relations. They are tasked with assembling a complete, cohesive factual picture and assist in developing the narrative of our clients’ most substantive matters. We seek professionals with backgrounds in investigative journalism, law enforcement, private investigations, or law. Candidates should possess strong research and writing skills and have a demonstrated passion for the fact-finding process. Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.

Job Description

  • Conduct due diligence inquiries on individuals, firms and organizations

  • Conduct factual research

  • Draft timeline of events

  • Identify factual witnesses and key players, conduct research and draft background memoranda

  • Interview key players and factual witnesses in order to gather facts and develop the narrative

  • Assist attorneys in preparation for depositions

  • Determine the best investigative approach for each unique case

  • Exercise critical thinking to effectively determine whether further investigative and analytical activity is required

  • Work closely with attorneys and consultants

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s Degree

  • Experience in conducting research and investigations

  • Outstanding people skills

  • Strong investigative, research and writing skills
