Ali Dukakis is senior investigator in the New York office of Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors.
Ms. Dukakis is an Emmy Award-winning former journalist who has covered many of the most consequential national and political news stories of the last decade. Before she joined the firm, Ms. Dukakis worked as an investigative reporter and producer for ABC News in the network’s Washington, D.C. bureau.
Ms. Dukakis was a member of the Investigative Unit’s elite “Task Force” team responsible for ABC’s reporting on Russian efforts to meddle in U.S. politics, the 2016 and 2020 U.S. presidential campaigns, the Trump presidency and impeachments, the Jan 6 insurrection, and the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the gun violence epidemic in America.
Ms. Dukakis also managed the news division’s coverage on allegations of voter suppression in Arizona and Texas during the 2022 U.S. midterm elections. She has led federal court reporting from inside the courtroom for many cases, including the special counsel’s prosecutions of Roger Stone and other Trump associates, Ghislaine Maxwell and Pentagon leaker Jack Texeira.
During her over decade-long career as a professional journalist, Ms. Dukakis individually and as part of a team for ABC News and ABC News Good Morning America won and was nominated for numerous awards recognizing her work, including several Emmy Awards and Edward R. Murrow Awards.
In 2024, Ms. Dukakis was also nominated for an Emmy Award in the Outstanding Recorded News Special category for her work on “Uvalde: 365 Presents: Crisis of Command.”
Ms. Dukakis received a bachelor’s degree in politics from Bates College.
